At Think Bright Education, Passion Projects begin with the young person. Each project is built around their interests, strengths, identity and curiosity.
These projects help young people feel motivated, engaged and connected to something they genuinely care about. Students explore what they enjoy, what they want to create and what makes them feel proud, while building confidence, independence and a sense of agency.
Our mentors guide students using a design thinking approach, which helps young people develop ideas and bring them to life in a structured but flexible way. Students learn to explore ideas, solve problems and think creatively while developing real world skills.

Projects may involve:
• exploring interests and identifying ideas
• researching and learning new skills
• brainstorming creative solutions
• designing and building a project or product
• testing ideas and improving them over time
There is no single pathway. Each project is personalised and evolves based on the student’s interests and goals. The young person leads the project while the mentor supports, guides and encourages their progress.

Examples of Passion Projects
Some projects students have explored include:
• creating and selling handmade products such as crochet animals
• designing and launching a small creative business
• creating a YouTube style fitness channel for young people
• designing surf themed tote bags inspired by environmental awareness
• planning a themed event from start to finish including budgeting, invitations and design
These projects help young people develop creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, organisation and real world problem solving skills. Most importantly, they help students rediscover confidence, motivation and a sense of purpose in their learning.
