Youth Mentoring
Sometimes a young person has a lot going on and needs more than academic support or a Passion Project. They may simply need someone in their corner. Someone who checks in, listens without judgement, celebrates their wins and encourages them through life's challenges. A trusted adult who believes in them and becomes one of their biggest cheerleaders.
Our Youth Mentoring is provided by experienced teachers who understand young people and the challenges they face at school, at home and as they grow. We provide a safe, supportive space where children and teens can talk openly, build confidence and develop practical strategies for everyday life.
Every mentoring session is guided by the young person's interests and needs.
Sessions may include:
• Weekly check ins
• Arts and crafts
• Journalling and reflection
• Building confidence and self esteem
• Talking through friendships, school or family challenges
• Developing emotional regulation strategies
• Setting goals and celebrating progress
Youth Mentoring is not counselling or therapy. It is about building a positive, consistent relationship with a trusted adult who helps young people feel seen, heard and supported. Sometimes, having someone who genuinely believes in you and is always in your corner can make all the difference.
Primary School - $110 per 60 minute session
Secondary School - $120 per 60 minute session
Therapeutic Mentoring
Some young people are carrying experiences that make everyday life feel overwhelming. They may be struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation, school avoidance, family changes, low self esteem or the impacts of trauma.
In these situations, they often need support that goes beyond encouragement and guidance.
Our Therapeutic Mentoring is delivered by an experienced teacher who is also qualified in working therapeutically with children and adolescents up to 18 years of age and is a trauma informed counsellor. This unique combination allows sessions to be both practical and therapeutic, supporting young people in ways that are responsive to their emotional, social and developmental needs.Sessions are personalised and paced to suit each young person.
They may include:
• Creative activities and art based expression
• Emotional regulation and coping strategies
• Building healthy relationships and communication skills
• Exploring thoughts and feelings in a safe environment
• Strengthening confidence, resilience and self awareness• Support with school, family or social challenges
• Goal setting and personal growth
Therapeutic Mentoring focuses on building safety, trust and connection while helping young people develop the skills they need to manage challenges with confidence. Using a trauma informed approach, sessions recognise that every young person's experiences are different and that healing and growth happen through supportive, consistent relationships.
This service provides a compassionate space where young people can feel understood, develop practical strategies and build the confidence to thrive both now and into the future.
